The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration provided the data that was used by researchers at The Clunker Junker to determine which cities in the United States are the most hazardous for motorists to travel through. The number of yearly automotive accidents that occur per 100,000 vehicles that are registered in each state is used to rank the states.
- After Detroit (21.8), Memphis, Tennessee (24.3), and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, St.
